Textile Strain Sensor
Wearable sensing technology has been used in healthcare, sports performance tracking and human-machine interaction. Among wearable sensors, textile-based strain sensors offer a seamless method for detecting both subtle and large deformations caused by body movements, enabling real-time monitoring of physiological parameters such as respiration, muscle activity or joint motion.
We develop innovative structures and strategies to measure strain using textile-compatible sensors employing resistive, capacitive or inductive mechanisms, thereby improving performance and reliability across diverse wearable applications.
Our approach prioritizes integration into stretchable and flexible fabrics, ensuring smooth wearability, durability, and high sensitivity while maintaining comfort and breathability for long-term use in many applications.
